Stella is the multi-platform Atari 2600 emulator. This release includes ports for Linux, OSX, Win32 and GP2X (an older release is still available for WinCE). See the Changelog for more info; major changes are as follows:
- Potentially huge speedups in software rendering.
- Moved to more familiar 'tabbing' UI, and removed support for the confusing joymouse functionality. UI events can now be remapped.
- Added support for PAL60 ROMs and user-defined palette.
- Added sync to vblank in OpenGL renderer.
- Enhanced UI with a 'previous folder' entry in the ROM launcher.
- Fixed ROMs which didn't default to paddle 0.
- Phosphor mode and blend amount can now be set for each ROM.
- Fixed a number of TIA/core emulation bugs.
Stella is available at http://stella.sf.net. As always, please report any bugs you find.
