Hi,
sorry for starting an OffTopic thread.
It's about the Linux Emu cookies.
I know you can choose to be logged in for a whole month but I'm not online for a whole month and would rather log in when I visit the site.
But the cookies keep expiring so that I have to reenter my username and password every so often.
It would be nice to be remembered as it were, is there any way to increase the cookie life expectancies?
Using Firefox 9.1 BTW.
Thanks.

I'll do some research.

SAM_site in Account Information there's an option to remember for 1 year, isn't enough?

Also make sure you are visiting linuxemu.retrofaction.com and not by the url from linuxgames, if you use the linuxgames adress probably your browser will not accept the cookies Big Grin

Hi,
you're right I could do that.
What I was thinking about was sites like The Linux Game Tome.
You have some idea of how many registered users are hanging out at any moment.
I could decide I hate Linux and that Emulation is not for me and I would still be logged in here a year later regardless.
I don't want to cause any problems, LinuxEmu is a great site, just felt a bit strange that's all.

Hi again.
I logged in and set my account preferences so that I am remembered for a month each time I log in.
The very next day I come back and already I have been forgotten.
I have cookies switched on - so I'm guessing that's not the problem.
Other sites remember me via cookies so I guess it's not just my browser(Firefox 9.1).
Every time I come back I have to type in my name and password.
Is it meant to be this way?
